The more I think about it, homemade soup sounds even better than ever. The ingredients are our leftovers from our local meal last night and the only waste is the bones. Not so bad. While the smoothie has proved to be the worst, the rest of our meals are pretty good overall. Most of what we buy does come from Manitoba and we rarely have anything truly "processed". We make just about everything we eat from scratch.

I did add some extra vegetables (frozen peas and carrots) and a little KUB rye bread (made in Winnipeg since 1923 http://kubbakery.com ). KUB rye bread has always been a constant in our family, I can't remember ever seeing anything else win our house growing up.
