Outdoor Garden
Sounds easy and fun, but who's going to take care of it over the summer when everyone is on holidays? Not only do we have suggestions, but we have answers. Just like the indoor training, we will offer the same experience for you to get your outside garden started with your students.
Getting Started
Starting a school garden can seem
overwhelming in the beginning considering how the growing season doesn't necessarily coincide with the Manitoba school year or our peak growing season.
Should you start an indoor garden? An outdoor garden? What should you plant?
Hopefully this site will provide the information you need to start growing.
Indoor Garden
Starting with an indoor garden might be the easiest place to start. You will be limited by the space you have, you control the growing environment, and can directly involve the students for the full school year, avoiding the potential headache of maintaining a summer garden.
We will offer you guidance in starting your indoor garden as well as hands on person to person inservicing opportunity.
